The first paragraph of my upcoming novel The Cutting Edge:

My name is Lilly Skye Destiny Summers. My parents thought it was a great idea to give me three names with the initials LSD to go with my last name. For years they called me LSD Summers. They lived in a commune and did way too much acid.

The book is about a hairstylist who fantasizes about murdering the clients who irritate her. Along the way she crosses paths with a serial killer, who then begins to fantasize about her.

I’m hoping to have The Cutting Edge complete and available sometime in mid summer. I hope you’ll all join Skye on her journey! :)

    That’s quite an imagination you have there. Murdering annoying clients? Why not? Maybe they complain too much and are lousy tippers. I also use drug references in my books. Why not? Last time I checked lot of people still use them.

    A lot of the things that happen in the salon in my story actually did happen. I was a stylist for 15 years in a small town salon. Honestly, I couldn’t have made this stuff up! Truth is, in fact, stranger than fiction.

    Drugs are a huge part of our culture. Always were and always will be. The only difference is that now the majority seem to lean toward “legal” drugs (though they use them illegally). And, hey, Ken Kesey wrote One Flew Over A Cookoo’s Nest while on acid. Maybe that’s the secret to a bestseller! :)
