Kepler-22b My first science fiction story!
«

I usually write fantasy, but I tried my hand at some sci fi here.
It is set on a faraway planet, being the logs of an astrobiologist named Clodagh Stonewall. It is basically her observations on what turns out to be a precarious situation.
The story is free of course, and the link is

Thanks guys!

My BsB friends are making me love all the genres I never read, sci-fi being one of them. This is a great story!

I agree, it's a fab story, and I'm not usually a sci-fi reader either, although I have watched a lot of sci-fi on TV, in my time

Thanks Maria!
Actually, neither am I. The first sci-fi story I've read was Ender's Game and that was about a month ago. It's a goal of mine to eventually write at least something in each genre, just for the experience. I'll probably always favour fantasy though!

That's an interesting goal, James, and yes, I think it is definitely a good way to get experience, and even to find out what genre you'd like to eventually settle with. I also like to switch between the genres, and many of my novels are a mixture of many different genres.
